Sweet New Boy Layout

I'm blown away by this lovely layout that Carly just completed of her son's bris. Using the CJ Style Rosh Hashanah line of papers she created this sophisticated layout to document this momentous event.

Sweet New Boy: Carly Blaiss

What I find most striking about the layout is the unconventional color palette choice . The mustard, brown, brick and hunter green color scheme is a welcome departure from usual baby pastels used for a new baby layout.
In addition, by overlapping them slightly, Carly was able to incorporate a nice amount of pictures in the layout to give a pictorial story of the event.

More Mother's Day Designs

Here are some more quick and easy projects to make mom smile! Mimi crafted these using the Pesach Dots paper from the Passover collection along with pink rickrack and ribbon that comes in the 12x12 kit. She attached the triangular pennants to the length of ribbon then embellished the top parts, of two of them, with rickrack. The rickrack is secured with heart shaped brads. The middle pennant has a scrap of lovely tassel trim attached-so fun!

The glittery chipboard letters are from K and Co. and each bottom point has a pink button attached, with a glue dot, to it.

Here's the matching card

pink and brown card: Mimi Klien

The card came together quickly with a heart from Making Memories Vintage Love attached to the side of the layered CJ Style paper. The Prima flowers get added definition from the button centers. The Passover Collection bookplate sticker is threaded through the center of the ribbon
with "mom" spelled out on the center.

Mother's Day Cards with style from CJ Style

Mother's Day is almost here and which (Jewish) mom wouldn't love a handcrafted card! Oy, she'll be kvelling (that's yiddish for delightedly gushing) with pride when you hand her one of these beauties. So whip up a card or two, for the mother in your life, using some Crafting Jewish Style papers and make her day! Check out these cards for some design inspiration (we won't tell mom that her talented bubbala didn't design it herself!)

Mom Card: Mimi Klien

Mimi used the dotted side of the Hannukah Pass the Present paper for the background on this card and then added the buttons and stripes from the Rosh Hashanah borders and tags. She used simple Heidi Swapp chipboard letters to spell "mom" and accented it with a Passover sticker on which she layered a tiny red button over the middle circle to complete this super easy card. Isn't it great how all the different lines come together so beautifully in this card!

Rachel crafted these these beautiful cards for her mother and mother-in-law using the Rosh Hashanah line of papers and embellishments.

Mom Card 1: Rachel Meyerson

This card is a perfect example of understated elegance. The brads and blinged flower add a touch of glam to this simple design and the stamped "mom" is stunning. My mom would absolutely love this.

Mom Card 2: Rachel Meyerson

On this card I love how Rachel layered the soft yellow damask paper on the subtle stripe. Notice how she used the thin damask sticker on this card to tie the two designs together.
The charms are from creative charms with teeny brads from Queen & co. and the top charm spins. Two different Quickutz fonts were used for the word "mom".

New Designs Using Crafting Jewish Style Scrapbook Papers

Mazel Tov Banner: Carly Blaiss

"Spring Has Sprung" and with it we have a whole new crop of designs to share with you. Carly got creative and hopped on the banner band wagon to create an awesome mixed media "mazel tov" banner. She used the Hannukah line in a collage-like manner and layered glittered chipboard letters to spell out this lovely message.

Don't Grow Up So Fast: Carly Blaiss
This title says it all- don't we wish they'd stay little (for a little while longer) so that we can enjoy those yummy baby days! Great usage of the Passover papers in a non-holiday layout.

Bat Mitzvah Card: Lisa Spiegel

Lisa created this sophisticated card using the wrapper of the Passover 12x12 kit. That's right printed on the back of the kits' wrappers are coordinating designs! The smaller pink polka dot is a tag from the Passover borders and tag sheet it's layered it over the brown min polka dot. She covered the printed (Passover) saying on the tag with another paper scrap and tied on some fibers and a metal stamped and embossed star of david (from Stampin Up!). Lovely!

Passover Layout Details

Seder: Carly Blaiss

In this layout Carly uses many hand cut and layered creative details to enhance her design. She uses Crafting Jewish Style papers as her primary source and enhanced it with bits of bling to make it extra special.

Notice the layered borders on the bottom with a hand cut dove from the Passover Dove paper-love the pearl eye on the dove-adds such a whimsical touch! Here are some close up details of this page.

Closeup1:This little vignette includes a K and Co. pillow flower sticker and a die cut from Earth Loves journaling sheet layered with a Passover tag sticker. The pearls are Prima.

Closeup 2: is a raw chipboard frame from K and Co. covered with dye ink and heat embossed with American Crafts zing red metallic embossing powder. The layered circles and buttons have a Making Memories chipboard button from the Flutter line and an epoxy button from Heidi Grace.

All these layered details, create an awesome layout. Thanks Carly for sharing it with us!

Passover Seder: Lisa Spiegel

**Notice how both Lisa and Rachel used the "Passover with Family" tag to great effect for two totally different layouts.

Pesach Table: Lisa Spiegel

Love the way Lisa used different embellishments, such as the star of david die cuts and rickrack, from the Passover 12x12 kit to create this lush layout. She also sets a great table!

Post Passover Layouts

With Passover officially over, here come the post Passover layouts of some wonderful family memories.

Mock matzo: Rachel Meyerson

Layout 1: Rachel's layout both preserves this Passover recipe for future use and is a wonderful pictorial reference and memory of a fun family experience! Rachel says that she has altered art recipe box that she crafted for these beautiful recipe/memory cards-can't wait to see it!

Kiddush: Rachel Meyerson

Layout 2:On this page Rachel M. used the "4 fab cups" paper as a neutral themed background for the layout of her son saying the kiddush, for the first time, at the seder. She added hand cut out words from the "family together" paper as small accents, and as a way of contributing to a cohesive look.
